Biography
Jim Garlits is the medical plans branch chief in National Guard Bureau’s joint surgeon’s office, and is a husband and father of four.
He has been a recruiting operations officer, a senior military science instructor, a radio personality, an autoworker, an insurance salesman, a short order cook, a coffee shop and used bookstore owner, an apartment painter and a writer, but not all at the same time.
Jim graduated from Ball State University in 1989 with a degree in magazine journalism and has done relatively little with it, except writing for contributor copies, thrills and kill fees.
He procrastinates writing from Alexandria, Virginia.
Interests
Jim’s many interests include writing, studying Latin, reading great books, small batch coffee roasting, and being outside.
