Back in the end of August, I was surfing the web and landed on blogs.com. Pretty neat concept. Blogs about blogging. Bloglists. There were a lot of interesting categories, but like so many things, it seemed there was a gap. Something was missing.
Could it be…hmmm…religion?
I fired off an email suggesting that they might have ignored one of the biggest parts of a lot of people’s lives. Silly me.
They wrote back.
Long story short, there was an exchange of emails between myself, Andy and Wendy. Andy’s a product marketing guy, and Wendy is an editor in chief. So now I’ve got this Catholic Top Ten page over on their site.
They’re my favorite ten, and they may or may not be yours, but thats okay. Give them some traffic because they’re on target, witty, and well written.

Talk about coming full circle in short order, it was only yesterday that Fr. Z put out the call for black vestments in the Novus Ordo on the occasions where it may be used. And there I was. Indianapolis. Holy Rosary parish. Four-thirty vigil Mass for All Souls. Visiting priest. Black vestments! Well, black white and gray, but tastefully done and skillfully put together. Wonderful homily, too, Father.
I think I’m starting to get the hang of this brick by brick concept. And its actually sort of fun. There’s an odd sort of serendipity quality about seeing the traditional pop it’s head up here and there, not like a game of whack-a-mole, but popping its head up and keeping it up…sometimes jauntily dancing like the gopher in Caddyshack.
It was a good day. Now to find a cemetery to pray for a few friends!
